Dr Alastair McIntosh

Alastair McIntosh is a well-known authority on Local and Provincial Government, Rural Development, Land Reform and Land Tenure, Traditional Authorities, and Planning. Through his consulting activities and representation on numerous official bodies he has advised National and Provincial governments on a range of these issues. Alastair has led a number of large scale research and policy-related projects relating to Rural Development, Integrated Development, Planning and Tenure Legislation. He has also led projects relating to small-holder agricultural development, small business development and traditional authorities.

Zini Godden

BA, Dip in Ed (Western Cape University) Cert. in Econ. & Public Finance (UNISA) Masters in Public and Development Management (WITS)

Zini's experience in facilitation has been with a wide range of diverse clients from private, public and local government sectors, and the donor community. Apart from traditional facilitation tools, she has had the opportunity to work with new facilitation tools as well. She has received training in the use of these tools. Most of Zini's facilitatrion experience has been in the following areas:

• Organisational development plans;
• Team building exercise and strategic planning sessions;
• Local Economic Development initiatives and processes.

Zini also has extensive experience in the field of training and development, and the work she has engaged in includes the following:

• Business development training, focused on equipping participants to start and grow asmall business;
• Training copmmunity-based organisations to write project proposals and business plans;
• Training educators on how to start and run a Sooul Buddyz Club in their schools.

Zini is currently the Project Manager for the LOCATI program (the LED Capacity Building and Implementation Support Program).
