Human Resource Management (16 Credits)

The workshop is aimed primarily at municipal LED staff. However, HR staff in municipalities will also find it useful to contribute to and participate in discussions on organograms and job design for optimal Human Resource Management in an LED Unit, implementing policies regarding HIV/AIDS in the workplace and recruitment and selection in an LED Unit.

The Skills Programme is aligned to unit standard:

110533 "Evaluate and improve the structure of the department and the design of jobs and work procedures in an LED unit". 5 credits

110489 "Recruit and select staff for an LED unit, in accordance with local government procurement policies and other legal requirements". 4 credits

9224     "Implement policies regarding HIV/AIDS in the workplace". 4 credits

8684     "Apply an ethical code for decision making". 4 credits
