Preparation for LED implementation (28 Credits)

The workshop looks at how public / private stakeholders and government organisations can be organised such that they can promote economic activity in a locality, as well as explores the need for funding to be the outcome of an organic LED process, and on the variety of available resources that can be mobilized for LED.

The Skills Programme is aligned to unit standard:

110517 "Identify and explain the range of institutional arrangements for local economic development". 8 credits

110507 "Identify and explain the typical success factors for SMME promotion and a range of other local economic development strategies and tools". 12 credits

110515 "Demonstrate a knowledge and understanding of the various sources of funding available for LED in the South Africa context". 8 credits
